Made in 1988, this R13 B-flat clarinet has been expertly restored and fine-tuned to give you a quality instrument that will last! Even after all this time, the wood is in exemplary condition, with no cracks or blemishes. Similarly, the silver plating is in excellent shape, confirming that it’s had little use over the years.
The previous owner replaced all of the pads shortly before selling it, so they remain in new or like-new condition! Once we received it, we gave it a cleaning, oiling, and wood treatment, and then checked the key fitting, balance, synchrony and more, to ensure that your new clarinet will play reliably and with ease. It produces a very nice smooth sound that’s deep and slightly brilliant.

Every clarinet is checked to make sure the following things are perfect:

- Key Movement – No binding or drag
- Spring Tension – Proper tension and balance
- Ring Heights – Checked for proper evenness and height
- Pad Height Opening – Checked for proper venting (no stuffiness)
