Nylon Inserts For Clarinets

Attention to detail is what makes you a better player

While not offered as a stand-alone service, new nylon inserts are available as part of any overhaul service to ensure your instrument is in top-playing condition.

There are two pivot points on every clarinet which are commonly cushioned by cork. Over time the cork can become indented and cause the keys to stick. By inserting nylon in place of cork, the keys operate more smoothly and have a better feel. The nylon will also last indefinitely, and unlike cork, will never change. This means that they keys will always open and close at the same height, and therefore will keep the same tuning and feel forever.
